It takes a village.

The Mon Water Project has raised $453,000 since its project launch in 2022. This support came through local foundation philanthropy and federal grant programs.

EPA partnered with the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) to serve as the Regional Grantmaker in EPA’s Mid-Atlantic Region (Region 3), which includes Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

The Thriving Communities Grantmaking program was created under the Inflation Reduction Act’s Environmental and Climate Justice Program to work in partnership with the Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC), which are part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America Agenda.

The work that provided the basis for this organization was supported by funding under an award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The organization is solely responsible for the accuracy of the statements and interpretations contained in its communications, documentation, and outreach. Such interpretations do not necessarily reflect the views of the Government.

Funding for the Mon Water Project was provided by The Pittsburgh Foundation through its foundation-directed grant program and an additional award through the Rita M. McGinley Fund.
